About Us

Edible Austin wants to connect you to your local food community! We are an independently owned, community-based bi-monthly publication and a member of Edible Communities publications. Our mission is to celebrate the seasonal food culture of Central Texas.

We celebrate local, sustainable and seasonal culinary traditions and innovations.

Through our publication, e-newsletters, website and events, we work to connect you with local growers, retailers, chefs and food artisans—enabling those relationships to grow our healthy and vibrant local food economy. Edible Austin is available at selected distribution locations or can be delivered to your door by subscription for $30 a year. Subscriptions ensure that you will never miss an issue and also make great gifts!

Edible Austin also supports and produces many community-building events and festivals throughout the year, which we list on our calendar and promote with our e-newsletter.

Edible Austin is for people who are interested in:

  • Eating and growing seasonal foods
  • Learning about the stories behind the people who grow, produce, cook, sell or serve local and seasonal foods
  • Discovering all about great dining, day trips, distillers, breweries, wineries, food events and festivals in Central Texas
